Home and Patio show canceled due to heat

Every year in the middle of April, there is a Home and Patio show in our city.

The event showcases several different types of Home and Patio equipment. The event is held outside each year on the fairgrounds. My friends and I attend the event every year. They always have fair foods like funnel cakes, turkey legs, and cheese on a stick. They also have a few games for the kids. Last year, my wife and I ended up winning a brand new 55in television. We entered a contest being held by a local HVAC company. We had to give the HVAC company all of our information like name, address, phone number, and email. I figured it was a sales scam. We didn’t expect to receive a call at the end of the weekend. We still have the television in our living room. It is the biggest one in our entire home. My wife and I were looking forward to going again this year. Unfortunately, the Home and Patio show had to be canceled due to a massive heat wave in the area. It’s always a little warm when we attend the event, but the weather was forecasted to be in the 90s. The event planning committee tried to find a way to hold the show indoors, so they could run air conditioners. The only available space on short notice didn’t have air conditioning. They could have used the barns and stables, but they don’t have air conditioning either. They ran out of options and didn’t find any available spaces in such a short time.
