I don’t use my HVAC app features much but I’m glad they’re there
My A/C has a smart temperature control that is attached to my wireless router
I can’t believe the number of features and capabilities that I get with an average smartphone in this day and age. Back when I bought my first flip phone in the early 2000s, I was happy to have text messaging for the first time. That phone didn’t even have a camera included. My upgradement impressed me to no end when I finally had that feature for the first time, even though I had low megapixels and awful resolution. When smartphones hit the market years later, I was honestly shocked with what the market seems to be doing! There was talk about mobile internet allowing you access to a computer that was the size of your hand. You could stream songs apps in your vehicle for the first time ever. Plus, GPS was no longer limited to small devices that you had to buy for hundreds of dollars and affix it to your dashboard. But with all of the advances in smartphone technology today, I never pictured a single day where I could change the indoor temperature of my loft while I’m at work or thousands of miles away. My A/C has a smart temperature control that is attached to my wireless router. And then I downloaded an app on my phone that communicates with the smart temperature control at my loft if it’s online. In just minutes, I can turn on my heating to get the loft warm before I leave work in the afternoons, or I can simply monitor my A/C usage remotely to make sure there are no malfunctions with the A/C system. Although I don’t use these features much, it’s still nice to think that I have so much control with just my phone.
